Care Guide

It is extremely important to follow the below guidelines to ensure your hair extensions are well maintained and last for months to come.

All our weave and tapes hair extensions are 12A grade raw virgin hair with 100% cuticles aligned. During colour processing and bleaching to lighter colours or blonde, the hair cuticles change and can shorten the hairs lifespan. This means light or blonde hair can become dry and matted very easily if not looked after. We suggest extra care is taken and that you nourish your hair extensions daily.

Brushing
Your hair extensions should be gently brushed at least once per day. Use a hair extension brush specifically designed for hair extensions. Never brush your hair extensions when they are wet as this is when they are most susceptible to breakage.

Washing
Seamless Tape Hair Extensions
Tape hair extensions should be washed at least twice a week. This is to prevent any oil and product build-up from damaging the tape adhesive area. We recommend using b3 Brazilian Bond Builder Shampoo and Conditioner as these products won’t loosen the adhesive area and will nourish your hair extensions. Also keep in mind that over washing can lead to dry and tangled extensions.

Seamless Weft Hair Extensions
Weft hair extensions should be washed at least once a week. This is to prevent any oil and product build-up around the micro beads or thread. We recommend using b3 Extension Repair Shampoo and Conditioner as these products prevent debris from collecting around the weave and will nourish your hair extensions. Also keep in mind that over washing can lead to dry and tangled extensions.

Seamless Clip-in & Halo Hair Extensions
Clip-in and Halo hair extensions do not need to be washed very often unless you are wearing them on a regular basis. We recommend using b3 Extension Repair Shampoo and Conditioner as these products will remove any impurities and nourish your hair extensions. Also keep in mind that over washing can lead to dry and tangled extensions.

Hair Products
All Seamless Hair Extensions
Using the correct products will ensure your hair extensions stay silky soft and do not tangle, matt or shed. We strongly advise that you ALWAYS check the ingredients of your hair products. Ensure you don’t use products with SLS, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Alcohol Denat, Ethanol, SD Alcohol 40, Parabens, Phosphates, Propanol, Isopropyl and all forms of Protein, including keratin, wheat, or silk amino acids.

Purple, blue and silver toning shampoos can dry out your hair extensions so ensure they aren't used regularly or left on your hair extensions for too long.

Seamless Tape Hair Extensions
Tape hair extensions In addition to the above do not apply any conditioner, masks, hairspray, oils or dry shampoo to the adhesive area of the tapes.

We recommend our b3 Extension Repair system to help keep your hair extensions looking flawless between appointments.

Hair Colour
It is essential that you do not bleach, perm or chemically straighten your hair extensions, as this will severely damage them. If it is needed, your hair extensions can be dyed a darker colour by a professional salon that is experienced in working with hair extensions. As the hair extensions are very porous, we advise that a spot test is always done first.

Drying and Styling
It is best to let your hair extensions air dry after washing. We recommend using a heat protectant like Fanola Smooth Care Serum which wraps a protective film around the hair shaft to protect hair from dehydration.

If a hair dryer or flat iron is needed, use on a low to medium heat. Always point hair dryer downwards as this will help to not only smooth the hair cuticle but prevent the hair extensions from getting tangled. Remember that using hot tools on hair extensions too much will make them dry and more vulnerable to breakage.

Sleeping and Storing
Seamless Tape & Weft Hair Extensions
These hair extensions should be 100% dry and loosely braided before going to bed. This will prevent tangling and matting while sleeping. Using our Satin Pillowcase is a great option to help prevent tangles.

Seamless Clip-in & Halo hair extensions
These hair extensions can be stored and protected in our custom storage bag. We don't recommend sleeping in your clip-in or halo hair extensions as this can cause damage to your natural hair and the extensions.

Swimming
If you plan on swimming with your hair extensions, we recommend wetting with your hair with tap water first. This will prevent your hair extension from absorbing too much chlorinated or salt water. To prevent tangling, tie your hair in a low pony and plait or braid. Once you have finished swimming rinse your hair immediately with tap water and apply conditioner to hydrate your hair.

Shedding and Tangling
Just like your natural hair, extensions will shed and tangle. Keep in mind that they are more likely to shed when they are dry and brittle. As all our hair extensions are 100% Remy hair, they will not tangle frequently or shed if cared for correctly.
